Charging the battery Peephole doorbell

I want to know why Ring won’t put a charging port on the bottom of the battery also that way I could keep my Ring Peephole door bell charged and wouldn’t have to worry about the battery going dead when I’m away for 6 months.  I’m sure y’all know what I’m talking about because the batteries don’t last but maybe 2 months if you are lucky.  I’m sure the battery engineer can add a charging port to the battery. Charging is not possible with your not home.
