Apartment Door Attachment Tips?

Hello, I bought the ring camera a few weeks ago and also purchased a renter friendly door attachment with it. The only issue is that the door attachment does not fit because the space between my door and the doorframe is too small and I cannot close my door. Does anyone have any other renter friendly solutions since this option doesn’t work? My apartments wont allow me to drill or hook the ring camera to a wall structure, so the only solution is to have it on my door. Any ideas are welcomed.
