Basic set up of security system

Question

Hi, just purchased a security system, the base station installed straightaway but I can't seem to get any of the peripheries (range extender, motion detector, etc) to connect to it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to only connect one device at a time as per the instruction manual.

You can find installation steps for the Ring Alarm devices [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115005324006-Getting-started-Understanding-and-setting-up-your-Alarm-devices-in-the-Ring-app). Make sure to pull the tab out for any battery devices, such as the Contact Sensor or Motion Detector. If you're unable to get your Ring alarm components set up, try [resetting your Alarm devices](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360000071906-How-to-completely-reset-your-Alarm-devices) and then attempting the setup.
