Screws broken. Cannot remove doorbell

The screws just keep spinning when trying to remove them from my doorbell/faceplate. I would prefer not to have to break the faceplate getting the doorbell off as I'm aware this is a fault with the doorbell that many people have complained about. I can't charge my doorbell if I cant remove it so how do I resolve the issue issue!?
