Indoor camera disconnects from 3am till 6am
troubleshooting

Hi, I can’t seem to solve an issue where my indoor Gen 2 camera disconnects at 03:00 & stops picking up any motion or alerts, then reconnects at 06:00 again to work properly, this happens every night. I have no schedules set & as far as I can see everything is set to record as normal.

Have you checked to see if your router is disconnecting between these times. Perhaps you have a low power state activated on the router between these times that you don't know about? Or perhaps your internet is going down between these times, do you have a separate modem that you can check the scheduling on? Remember your doorbell needs the internet to function, so it's certainly a possibility that it's the internet or your wifi is disconnecting rather than there being a problem with your doorbell.

Thank you for you response but the internet is still working fine between these times. I get up for work at 04:00 & use the internet before I leave & have no problems but when I try to check the camera it’s always showing that it’s disconnected. I also have a Hive indoor camera & 2 outdoor cameras that work from the WiFi & they always carry on working between these times. Very strange!

Well, the fact it disconnects at 03:00 and reconnects at 06:00 means that either the camera has a schedule set, or the IP address its on has a schedule set, or the device you are trying to view it on has a 'wifi-off' schedule set. There is no magic here, there is a schedule set to turn off the camera, you just need to locate it. Have a look in Notification Settings in the Device Settings for that particular camera. You might have Priority Alerts set to off. Or look in Settings>Modes and Automations>Mode Schedules. If you can't find it, the easiest way to locate the problem is to reset the camera to Factory and set it up from scratch. If it still happens you at least know its a setting on your router/wifi or its the device you view the camera on.
