Indoor Cam Gen 1 - Can't set up.
I've owned a Indoor Cam for years purchased new with my doorbell. It's been in the cupboard for a couple of years. Now I want to set it up again, the setup process keeps failing. The App tells me I need to transfer ownership? I've completed a factory reset and tried again. I just seems to be blocked and won't complete the setup process. Any suggestions as to what to do? Nothing wrong with the cam I just don't want to throw out a perfect good item. Ring support could'nt help me other than go through the basic setup steps!

Have you read through this: https://ring.com/gb/en/support/articles/k8jn9/transfer-device-ownership If you bought from Amazon, Amazon might have linked the device to the email address you use for Amazon. If you use a different address for Ring, there's your problem. Even if that's not the case, the link should help you reclaim ownership.

UThanks for the information. I have tried it, but when i get to the transfer ownership screen it errors and says 'Hmm. Something has gone wrong'! This has me complete stumped

Same problem logged transfer request but receive no response. Lack of feedback does not help

Hi @user_3632be. You likely have two Ring accounts, and Ring devices can only be set up under one Ring account at a time. If you can remember what email address you might have originally used, you can try to log back into your original Ring account and remove the Indoor Cam. Otherwise, you should be able to use the device ownership transfer process. Make sure your Ring app is updated, and turn off any VPNs you have on your phone, as those can affect the Ring app performance.
