Long story. Cut it short. Just received a Ring Chime today. Did not get it to work, after hour spent with support personnel, got cut-off a second time after I was told it was out of warranty and after agent said he will talk to supervisor about sending a new one anyway. Not sure I want to spend more time on this other than make my complaint Public

UI have the same problem. My app reports that it last connected on 6/4/20, but being in the UK I don't know whether that is 6th April (as per UK) or 4th June (as per US). I was wondering whether all those people effected have the original Ring Chime (box like with a horizontal grill) or the "all-new" Chime (with a flatter profile and mesh-like front). If it is just the original, then being cynical, it does seem coincidental that people's original Ring Chime has suddenly stopped working at the same time as the launch of a replacement! N.B. Just got off the phone to their support - "Your product is out of warranty. Sorry for any inconvenience. Goodbye."

JSame thing happened to my original chime. Just getting around now to try and fix it as my gen2 chime has been working fine through all of it. Tried resetting for over a minute and removing from a power supply for a few hours but still not working. Worst part is I just signed up to the full yearly multiple device plan but the device won’t be covered as out of warranty. Will be looking at Apple HomeKit once it runs out as that now has facial recognition and secure cloud recording for free.

Funny- I noticed the same thing tonight on one of 2 chimes-offline. I even removed the chime and tried to reinstall. It will not go into set up mode. This looks like a recent problem. Bad firmware updates?

CHey neighbors! To attempt to get the Chime back to pulsing and into setup mode, you will need to make sure to try the reset as @telegare has. You will need to Chime to be plugged into an outlet and powered on. Once plugged in, use a needle like @telegare has to press and hold down into the reset button (if you have a button, just press the button, no need for a needle) and do this for 30 seconds. From there, attempt another setup. If this still does not work, please reach out to our support team [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036196372-Get-in-Touch) to report this to see what your next steps are. @telegare After watching your video, I see you've tried it for a few seconds, and also 15 seconds, but could you try 30 seconds and let me know how that goes? You will need to do the full 30 seconds for it to completely reset.

THey. I performed a hold of 30 seconds, this did not help. I tried to hold for 40 and 50 seconds, nothing has changed. https://youtu.be/GeAcFngMdBQ

I have not used it for several months, and it was required to reconnect to the network, but now it does not connect, does not go into connection mode. Many attempts have been made. C@Po11 If you are having a concern getting your Chime connected back to your wifi, please make sure that all ports and protocols are opened on your router's settings first. From there, do a reset of your Chime by pressing and holding the setup button for 30 seconds (if you have a tiny hole, press the pin in the hole for 30 seconds). Try to get the Chime reconnected to your wifi and if you still have this concern, please reach out to our support team [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036196372-Get-in-Touch).

ASame experience here. Chime pro gen 1 stopped working around Apr 11th, constant medium blink (2 blinks per second). I can reset with the 30 second button hold, re-run setup, but when it reconnects to my wifi I get one blnk every 3-4 seconds for about 1 minute, and then it returns to the medium blink. Very frustrated. Going to call support today.

ASpoke with support today and we were able to get my Chime Pro back online, but it appears to be failing when trying to update itself, and then getting stuck in a loop. Support was able to block the update so i can use the chime while they ship me a replacement unit. Great support experience so far.

My chime also stopped working. The light does not come on, I tried resetting it several times and followed the directions for a longer reset (15 seconds, then wait a minute). And, I've tried plugging it upside down as well and no luck. This _ **does** __ _appear to be a device issue with so many others reporting the same problem. It's starting to sound like Ring should fix these for free or at a discount if out of warranty.

Mine is not working either. It just stays blue. Tried everything but nothing helped. This brand begins to show problems everyday and the manufacturer hides behind "it's out of warranty", when they know they have a dud on their hands, which will bring them down! Everyone knows that chips are not perfect and they fail, some sooner than later, everyone has to also know that Ring has manufacturing issues with products....and support...and warranty limits! I bought mine from Costco and they will happily return it, thank God that they are the best company out there (without a warranty for dud products). Work on it harder RING!!

TI have the same issues, my chime device had been working for over 2yrs with no fault. Now it will not connect to our network, and I am unable to rest the device. The last health check of the device was on the 15May 2020 (Only 3 days ago) and firmware is reported up to date. I am awaiting a response from an email to the support team.

TJust reporting that I have the exact same issue. The blue light stays on after unplugging and replugging, as well as after any length of time holding the reset button. I’ll be watching for some solution, but I haven’t seen anyone reporting one in this forum. I have two Chimes, and the other one works fine.

TAn update. I had called support and followed their restart and installation steps again. The chime did not connect. They simply said that the device is defective and out of warranty. I did mention this thread to them. But all I got was a response that it was very unlikely for multiple chime devices stopped working in the same month. No answer why the device would become defective after working well and no physical contact with the device up until it stopped working. Would recommend all to call tech support to highlight this issue. Very disappointed with the result.

RSame issue happened for me. So weired that it is happening to so many people now. I tried reset 5,10, 20, 30, 40 seconds but the chime just stay on and not blinking. Plugged off and on again but nothing is working. Seems that those chimes have a defect or wrong firmware update.

I have exactly the same problem. Can’t get it working or in setup mode. Already tried: - 5 sec reset (several times) - 15 sec reset (several times) - power off for 10 min - power off for 2 hours Any solutions, anyone?
