Snooze the smoke alarm/CO listener device

To help prevent false alarms, we need a snooze capability on the Smoke Alarm listener device. When I am cooking on my grill oustside, sometimes smoke gets into garage and sets off the alarm. Sure would help if during those time I could just snooze the device in advance to avoid a false alarm and having to go through all of the steps or even have emergency called in those cases. Does anyone know of a workaround?
