Does anybody else think that price rises for the protect plan are extortionate.

I know that there's inflation but prices have NOT doubled so how can Ring justify the cost of the protect plan jumping from £24.99 in Aug 2021, £34.99 in Aug 2022 / Aug 2023 and £49.99 now. That's double the 2021 price. When we purchased our Ring doorbell there were not that many camera doorbells on the market and we were really happy with it. We thought the protect plan was worth paying for. Now there are lots of competitors - Blink (also Amazon), Eufy and others. Several allow you to record video locally or at a minimal price so what distinguishes Ring to justify the additional price. From what I can see - nothing. So we are NOT renewing. We purchased a Blink outdoor camera that does exactly what Ring does for less than the cost of the new subscription. (Special offer - £45). This allows us to record locally and currently works alongside the Ring doorbell. So we'll be saving money every year from now on. It's pure greed - and we'd have renewed at the old price. But as it keeps going up, we've found a cheaper solution that does what we need.
