Better mounting options for Ring alarm base unit

I would like to mount the base unit on the wall in my hall, hiding the wires for a nice neat install. Unfortunately there is a big rectangular gap visible on the top where the connectors are, and there is no cover for this. It would be nice if there was a plastic cover included that would hide this massive gap, would make a neater install where the top of the base can be seen. Also, would apply if mounting on ceiling.
