Too many notifications...

Recently bought the home alarm system to add to the doorbell. All fine and dandy apart from the notifications! When set to home, it’s fine if you stay in one room. Once you decide to enter the kitchen there’s a notification sent to my phone to say movement has been sensed...I turn, go back into the hallway and the camera is now notifying me of movement....aghhh! Every time I get up and leave a room, the phone’s pinging... Ideally, can these sensors be turned off for when you are home and only sending notifications once the alarm is armed? At this rate, I can see the batteries will be needing changing very soon!

Hello @whoisdoupe , Yes, you can turn off the text-type Notifications that you are receiving from alarm sensors and from your cameras: [https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210052646-Understanding-Notifications-for-Ring-and-Motion-Events](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210052646-Understanding-Notifications-for-Ring-and-Motion-Events) You can also disable the sensors' Chirp Tone alerts sounds that you hear coming from your Alarm Base Station and Keypads too in the settings, by selecting a Chirp Tone of "None." I hope you find this information helpful. :)

Thank you, yes it has been helpful! I did wonder if it was as simple as that to turn of notifications. My only concern - and this is why I hadn’t disabled motion notifications - when I arm the alarm, will I still get notifications if motion is detected, or would I get an ‘your alarm is going off’ style instead?

No @whoisdoupe , when you toggle OFF those text-type Notifications (that are pushed to your phone) for the individual sensors, the Notifications remain OFF for those sensors regardless of which Alarm Mode (Disarmed, Home, Away) that you are in. So you will not get a Notification from that individual sensor. But, if one of your alarm sensors does trigger the Ring Alarm system while in "Home" or "Away" armed Alarm Modes, even though you won't get a individual Notification from the specific triggering sensor, you still will be notified by the Alarm Base Station that the Alarm/siren has been triggered (‘your alarm is going off’ style Notification), which is more important than immediately knowing _which_ sensor did the triggering. And since every alarm sensor has an "Event History" on its Device page which has a logged history of its activity, you could easily later determine which sensor caused the alarm activation. Even if you have the individual Notifications turned off for your Alarm Motion Sensors and/or Contact Sensors or other alarm sensors, don't forget about the other "Alarm Alert" Notification settings that can provide your with both an Email Notification and/or a 'pushed' text-type Notification to you. - Select Menu (the 3 horizontal-lines Icon, upper-left-corner of Dashboard) \> Settings \> Alarm Alerts or Alerts \> Then select "Emails", and then also do "Push" at the top \> toggle ON/OFF items you desire to receive Emails and/or the text-type "Push" Notifications \> after finishing selections, select "Save" (upper-right-corner).
