Ring Chime problem
troubleshooting
When my ring doorbell is inactive it still activates my indoor ring chime but when doorbell active the indoor ring chime doesn't operate.

Hi @user_f793e2. When you say the Ring Doorbell is inactive, do you mean you have motion detection turned off in Modes? Do you have any additional Ring Doorbells or Cameras connected to this Chime? Is your Chime set up to play an alert with doorbell rings and motion detection, or only one of those? We're happy to help with general troubleshooting once we have more information.
