Help with ring motion detector and mice
Hiya, I have a motion detector installed in my kitchen, it is placed facing the back (glass) door. I have just moved into the house and was told the previous tenant had a mice problem, I haven’t seen anything in the last week but the detector has gone off today with movement in the kitchen sounding the alarm. I am new to Ring cameras and detectors, but was wondering if it would detect a mouse? (or spiders / fly) . Google doesn’t seem to have much info apart from where to buy the products, but I also read that heat or reflections on the glass might be a cause? If anyone could shed some light for me it would be really appreciated!! thank you

Hi @user81608. This Help Center page will provide you with information on how to avoid false alarms with the Alarm Motion Detector. It does state to avoid having your sensor face a window or heat source, which is what yours is facing. I recommend changing the location of it to avoid it facing your glass door.
