Ring pro doorbell
Previously had version one and decided to replace it due to the crap bell push cracking after a year. Installed the newer version and have had nothing but grief. It connects then starts to update software and disconnects set up loads of times same result. Put the old one back works fine. Contacted support who informed me I should use the by pass kit even though I have new chimes from ring. These are designed to by pass on existing door chimes that are not ring. The call centre is based outside the U.K. and you get the same robotic answers for all the products now that Amazon own them. I am an electrical engineer so know my onions voltage ok signal ok all other ring products working some are over sixty feet away doorbell is only eight feet from router. Does anyone know a fix or do I go back to the ring robots to get it replaced

Your Ring Doorbell Pro is the only doorbell model that runs and operates off the Mains Power (hardwire). All other doorbell versions actually run off Battery-Power, and use the hardwire Mains Power only for "trickle-charging" the battery. So when you put your old "Version One" Ring Doorbell back (which I think you mean as Not a Doorbell PRO), it works fine, because it is not a Ring Pro and therefore it does not need the Pro Power Kit. At the Ring Support online pages, every displayed combination of doorbells and transformers, both with or without chimes, has the wiring diagrams. If you click on the tab "One Ring Doorbell Pro connected Direct to Transformer" (no chime bypassed) you'll see it too needs the Pro Power Kit included in the wiring. Check out the wiring diagrams here: [https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022454432-Wiring-Diagrams-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-Setup](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022454432-Wiring-Diagrams-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-Setup) [https://shop.ring.com/products/spare-parts-for-video-doorbell-pro?\_pos=1&\_sid=75febde75&\_ss=r](https://shop.ring.com/products/spare-parts-for-video-doorbell-pro?_pos=1&_sid=75febde75&_ss=r) I hope you find this information helpful :)
