Ring basic plan vs Ring plus plan warranty

I just bought a ring pro doorbell and I was wondering if i can do the basic plan for 11 months (before the original warranty expires) and then switch to the Ring plus plan. Will I still get the extended/lifetime warranty from the Ring plus plan since it's not past my original 12 month warranty?

Hi @Deo10. As long as you subscribe to the Ring Protect Plus plan before your device's [warranty](https://shop.ring.com/pages/warranty) runs out, it will extend the warranty. You can always contact our support team to verify the warranty on your device so you can make sure that you get the Plus plan before it ends.
