Doorbell Pro + Samsung Family hub = mechanical chime doesn't ring

Hello, I've bought a Samsung fridge with Family Hub, which comes with a pre-installed Ring app. I was excited to have the ring doorbell notifications showing on my fridge screen, which is one of the reasons why I've chosen this fridge. Unfortunately, after logging in into the Family Hub's ring app, I've noticed that my mechanical chime doesn't ring anymore. After several testing I think I've understood why: 1) The Ring Doorbell Pro has a separate issue that causes the mechanical chime to ring after some seconds after pressing the doorbell button, which is not a big deal alone. This without using the Faimily Hub of course, otherwise the chime wouldn't ring at all. 2) The Family Hub's Ring app automatically (and immediately) activates the video from the doorbell after ringing, which also causes the ring event logged as "answered". This is also annoying. 3) The combination of #1 and #2 makes the mechanical chime not ringing in time before the event is answered, therefore the mechanical chime never rings. Currently I can't use the Samsung Family Hub's Ring app because it prevents the mechanical chime from ringing, which is a huge problem for me. And this is super disappointing for me because I was really looking forward for this integration, also one of the reasons why I've chosen this specific fridge. Can you please fix this issue? My suggestion for fixing this would be to allow in the Family Hub's Ring app to enable or disable auto-answering the event, so I can avoid having all the events automatically answered + I will finally have the mechanical chime working correctly! Thanks, Marco

Hi @marcomu. We’re always striving to bring you the best customer experience. While API integrations like IFTTT and SmartThings have limited functionality with Ring, we do not officially support these integrations. Please reach out to Samsung directly for troubleshooting assistance, as it's a feature within their Family Hub that is causing this.

Hi there, @CV888! The Ring app on the Samsung Refrigerator is created by and maintained by the Samsung team. This is why it is visible on your IOS or Android devices, but not your Samsung Refrigerator. As a quick troubleshooting step, I would ensure that your Samsung Ring app is up to date. If you are unable to resolve this with an update, I’ve located the Samsung Community [here ](https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&q=Ring%20Doorbell&noSynonym=false&location=category:us&collapse_discussion=true) where you might be able to find a solution. In regards to your chime kit, this should work as intended as long as your chime kit is on the [chime compatibility list](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=chime+compatibility) for your Video Doorbell model. I hope this helps! :)
