Wired ring spotlight motion won’t turn off

Question

I have a wired video spotlight on my porch.  I want the ability to keep the light off when motion is detected.  I  set up 'disarmed' mode to keep motion detection off and lights off.  Even when the device is in disarmed mode, the light turns on when motion is detected.  How can I keep the light off???How can I shut off motion detection.?  Why isn’t disarmed mode working?  I’d rather not have to turn power off to that light circuit manually at my junction box to accomplish this.  I should be able to simply do this from the ring app.  Please help

Hi @MikeBF. Is this the Spotlight Cam Wired? Navigate to Device Settings  Light Settings  Motion Zones for Lights and toggle these off. That will prevent the lights from coming on when motion is detected in the light sensor's range.
