My ring doorbell security screw is stripped and I cannot get it to turn at all. I called support and they informed me my unit is out of warranty and they cannot help me. Stupid design and terrible support.
Precisely the same problem here. Google searching and searching Ring’s own “community” reveals that many people have this problem. Here’s what Ring should do: (1) offer to send someone to our houses to fix the problem (at no cost to us, especailly for those of us who paid Ring for the installation to begin with), (2) Use a MUCH higher quality screw, (3) send replacement screw, and (4) send specfic, detailed instructions (and tools, as needed) for how to fix it. Alternatively, they should send a new doorbell with installation for free. This is not rocket science.
