If I launch the Ring app on an iPadOS device, then attempt to perform a Live View for a Ring device that has Ring’s End-to-End Encryption feature turned on… the Ring app will immediately close (without my permission).
This is obviously a serious security problem – which is particularly frustrating when I need to quickly determine not only who is engaging in inappropriate behavior, but the exact details of the behavior. (It’s surprising what badly-behaved people can do in a matter of seconds.)
Interestingly, if I re-launch the Ring app, I’m typically allowed to perform a Live View.
Does anyone know what is causing this problem (as well how to fix it)?
