I’ve had my doorbell for a long time now, but today I installed the new alarm. I need to find out if motion or a ring caught on my ring doorbell will cause my alarm system to go off when my alarm is set to home mode AND/OR armed mode.
Hi @Sammy88marie. Motions or rings on the Doorbell will not cause the siren on the alarm to go off, as they are separate. The alarm will only go off when a Contact Sensor or Motion Detector is triggered and the system is armed in Home or Away mode. If you’d like, you can use the Linked Devices feature to set it up so that your Doorbell records when the alarm is triggered. I hope this information helps answer your questions!
