Base station never reconnects to Ethernet when it goes down

When my internet goes down temporarily, the base station never reconnects to Ethernet on its own. This forces me to repair the device using Bluetooth and choosing Ethernet again.

This is dangerous because if I am on vacation and my internet has a hiccup, I lose functionality, and I won’t be able to fix it remotely. Is this intended?

That doesn’t sound right… There may be an issue with your Base Station. Call Ring Support.

Are you on Ring Protect Plan or still under warranty? My Base Station stopped connecting to cellular. I had to call Ring Support a couple times and do the required trouble-shooting. Eventually they sent a replacement.
