Movement detection doesn't trigger Alexa routines

I don't think this is something I can influence because as far as I can tell, everything's setup correctly and sort of working. I have an alexa routine set to run when movement is detected.  Nothing happens. In the alexa app, when I look at the sensor just now, it says no motion detected since 24/11/2024 - this is incorrect as I walked past it 30 mins ago.  BUT if I continue to look at the sensor in the alexa app and I walk in front of the sensor it detects motion almost instantly. So the sensor is working with the alexa system, it just doesn't seem to report back unless I'm actively looking at it in the app?  Even then, it doesn't trigger the routine that it's supposed to. I don't think there's anything I can do about this (I think it needs sorting out at Ring/Alexa), but I'm open to suggestions
