Good question @lcdittmar! It depends on the power supply. If you are using the Plug In Adapter, no Pro Power Kit is needed. If you are using the Ring Transformer, as you stated, you will want to utilize your Pro Power Kit.
As it sounds like there is no mechanical or existing chime kit in place here, you will likely need to use the Pro Power Kit’s bypass option. I hope this helps!
