I am about to install doorbell v2 using electricity instead of relying on a battery, so I wonder what kind of resistor do I need, so I don’t burn out the device?
Hey @Mirage. Do you plan to connect the Doorbell to the wiring from an existing Doorbell setup, setting up to an internal chime kit, or setting up directly to the transformer? When you say v2, do you have the Ring Video Doorbell (internal battery) or the Ring Video Doorbell 2 (removable battery to charge)? If you have the Doorbell 2, you will need to keep the battery in at all times, even if you are hardwiring it, as the hardwiring will charge the battery that keeps the device on.
