Ring pro seems dead

So I recently moved into a home with 2 ring pro’s installed on either side of the home.
I was able to connect the first one with no problems. The second one doesn’t chime when I push the button, could not set up, and I tried to restart it with no success. It seems like it’s dead but I’ve read they don’t come with batteries so I’m not sure what to do.
