This was happening to us as well and it turned out that the doorbell will not ring more than once. There is a period of about a minute following the first ring where the doorbell is totally inoperable and no additional chimes or notifications will be send. Apparently this is “by design” and customer support told me I could “buy more chimes” if I wasn’t hearing the one we have installed. I was flabbergasted at the terrible design and the suggestion that I should spend more money with Ring to fix it.
The professional installation cost is wasted, but I will be returning these paperweights and warning everyone I can to stay away from this product and company.
