New house, existing Ring

Hello,

We are buying a house that has an existing ring doorbell. How do I reset it so we can use it?

You first have to get the prior owner to remove the doorbell from their account. You cannot add the device to your account until then . . . for obvious reasons, like theft. After that then you can follow the setup procedure.

If the prior owner only had a Ring account for this one doorbell, you could also have that person turn over their account to you, changing all the profile information to you (and the password).

Unfortunately the owners rented that house out for 3 yrs. I guess we will have to remove it and buy a new one.
