Doorbell Gen 1 won't connect to Internet

Trying to bring a Gen 1 doorbell online after 3 years out of service. It charges, and I can begin the setup process. I can select the wifi network to use, and I have other devices attached to it fine. But the doorbell blinks an error indicating it can’t reach the Internet through the wifi. Any ideas?

I’m sure it’s not had a firmware update in those 3 years, but I have no idea how to get this up and running again.
