Doorbell Downloaded 12gb today

As per subject, my doorbell downloaded over 12gb of data today (reported by my router traffic monitor), how is this possible?

I expect a high volume in upload, but not in download. Thankfully I have no cap on the broadband, but if I had I could have incurred extra charges.

Can someone from Ring please explain? I tried to call customer Service, but it says it is closed.

Even if it was a firmwaree upgrade, it seems rather large.

No idea why 12GB was used. Customer service would be able to tell you more about your device. They have different hours now with Covid-19.
