We would love to make our own chime tone to play. Is there a way we can do this?

Good question @Figo88 ! At this time our app and Chime devices allow for the selection of tones from a preset list. There is also the ability to extend notifications to Alexa enabled devices.
I’ll happily share this feedback with the team. Keep an eye out for our limited-time seasonal tones, if you have a Chime device. 
I’d like to vote up the suggestion that we should be able to put our own ring tones on to the chime. The preset list is very short and our old doorbell had the functionality to use custom MP3s for 10 years.
