Connecting to a Wifi that requires username & password

My WiFi requires a Username & Password to connect to it.

Does the Ring Doorbell Pro allow you to connect with username & password OR is it just WEP key only?

It is for my workplace.

Thanks

S.

Re: Connecting to a Wifi that requires username & password

Good question, @2203312While Ring devices are compatible with a number of encryption types, we generally recommend using the WPA2/WPA encryption. WEP encryption is less secure and occasionally causes problems with Ring device setups.

If you do run into any setup concerns, there is an option on the final setup step (connecting to network) for adding a hidden network. This hidden network option will allow you to manually enter certain network information to establish connection. Feel free to also check out our help center article about networks and Ring setups. I hope this helps! Smiley Happy

Re: Connecting to a Wifi that requires username & password

Hello,

As per your answer I understand Ring doorbell doesn't support 802.1x supplicant.  Could you confirm this, please?

Thankyou.
