What does the bridge do?? If I get 3 floodlight battery lights for my back yard, do I need a bridge for each as well? I already have a doorbell and 4 security lights that connect to my app...do they use the bridge as well or no? I can't seem to find info on how these work. Is there a chat capability on the ring site I'm not finding to get some help?
Re: Ring Bridge...do i need one for each floodlight?
Great question @coplan! Without the Ring Bridge, your Smart Lights function only as individual units. With a Bridge, you can control whole groups of Smart Lights and other Ring products at once, and be notified via the Ring app when any light or Motion Sensor senses movement.
The Bridge will setup to your wifi through the setup process in the Ring app, and then will allow you to setup/ connect your Smart Lighting devices to it, for more functionality. Check out our help center article for more information on how the Bridge works. I hope this helps!
