I am having the same issue. It appears that my ring spotlight cam is not recording every time there is someone within view. For example, the camera captured someone walking to the door and going isnide. It did not record him walking back to his car but we did see the car drive away. Is there a recommended way to adjust the camera so it works better?
Edit: I found this answer in another thread where someone was getting occassional 30 second clips. “Visit the Spotlight Cam in your Ring app > select Device Settings > select Motion Settings > select Motion Frequency. This setting will allow for motion to detect back to back, or at a limited rate to preserve battery.”
The app does not tell you that in Standard setting it willrandomly select what to record and the recordings are only for 30 seconds each. Switching itthe Motion Frequency to Frequent means it will record any motion (within the set zones/sensitivity levles.)
