Ring Cam shows Live View when I'm Sleeping

One of my ring cams shows that I accessed Live View in the middle of the night, while I was sleeping. Obviously I did not. Has anyone else expereinced this?

Hello @MikeMarshall ,

If when you check the “Timeline” or “History Event” page for that camera, and find it displays “Live View” video recordings that you did not initiate, it is possible for another to person that you previously made as a “Shared User” (and that you gave permission/access to that camera) to initiate a “Live View” video.

Also, be sure you aren’t confusing “Motion” triggered videos, or “Linked” videos (triggered by another Ring device), as a “Live View” video which is initiated manually.

I just discovered this same activity on one of my cameras last night. There were 2 separate “live views” in the middle of the night. There are only two users on the account/device - and both of us were sleeping… Any further discovery on this issue since you last published? Thanks in advance.

Hi @Northcutt. Do you have any Linked Devices linked to this Camera? A Linked Device event will show up in your Event History as a Live View. You can learn more about Linked Devices in this Help Center article here. Let me know if this helps!
