I am shopping for a security camera system that has a customizable notification alert tone feature. I currently have an Arlo 2 system and the alert system can only be on the default tone on my iPhone and I am looking for a security camera system that sends a text message or the ability to change the alert sound on the app. The system I have does not alert me properly or fast enough at nightime.

Does the Ring system have the text message feature or customiable alert tone?

Hi @Lhaevischer. Thank you for considering Ring! The short answer is, YES! We do have the ability to change the Alert Tone for Motion Alerts and Ring Alerts, which come through as a push notifications. I hope this information serves you well!
