I’m reporting 2 nights and days that my floodlight cam has had active motion zones and has not picked up anything other than people. I removed the cover I had on a stainless table surface which had been triggering motion recording from its reflection (I think) and haven’t gotten any of those triggered alerts either.
I did reduce my floodlight sensitivity detection distance, and this may have helped. I haven’t gone out at night to determine if I’m happy with that range yet. It’s been colder here this week, and that may have reduced the spider activity, but no notifications from a spider or any other random thing…for 2 days at least. That’s encouraging.
I’m trying to pay more attention to my motion zones being on. I turn them off when I don’t want recordings of us walking around or working outside and often forget to turn them back on…and I start thinking I’m not getting false alarms then realize that’s because I’ve disabled the motion zones completely and forgot about them!
