Good question, @IftiBashir! The Indoor Camera is designed to be powered by the included adapter. As seen on the Indoor Cam Power Adapter page, this power cable is rated for a power input of 100-240V AC, 50/60Hz, .5A, and intended to output 5V DC, 2A. Altering the intended installation will likely result in insufficient power to the device, and thus, is not recommended. The Power Adapter page I linked to above is longer than the one included in the box, and might offer more flexibility in reachable outlets. I hope this helps!
