I’m trying to create a routine so when I say “Alexa, Im leaving” it switches my ring to AWAY mode. However in the alexa app it says my doorbell is unsupported. Why? It’s working ok with Alexa now just not in a routine!
Hi @MattUK. At this time, mode changes are not supported within an Alexa routine. Changing the mode on your Doorbell would need to be completed through the RIng App manually. You can find more information on Ring and Alexa in our Help Center here, which should answer any questions you may have on this integration. 
Honestly, this is not an acceptable answer.
I was sold on the interaction between Ring and Alexa, and a good amount of things cannot be used between the two (this, viewing doorbell camera on Windows 10 Alexa app, others). I am starting to feel like the victim of a bait and switch scam.
