I’d like to set-up an Alexa routine that recognises my phone location isn’t at home, at which point it changes my Ring Mode to ‘Away’, and the opposite, when my phone is home it sets the Ring mode to ‘Home’. I can create the routine in my mobile Alexa app, but all my Ring devices are “unsupported” and I therefore can’t add them to the action. Any ideas?
Hey @Mac_Birmingham. Currently, the only way to arm and disarm your Ring Alarm via Alexa is going to be with voice commands, as outlined in this Help Center Article here. Alexa cannot arm or disarm your system through a routine, which is why it is showing the Alarm devices as unsupported.
