Ring App 2.4.18 Windows 10 unable to enter 2 factor code

Ring App 2.4.18 Windows 10 unable to enter 2 factor code.

I get the email for the 2 factor code. I’m only able to enter the first digit. The app locks up and closes when trying to enter the second digit.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times.

Hey @wgramlich. Could you provide us the exact Windows 10 version that you are on? You can find this information under your “About your PC” section in the settings on your computer. It’s possible you may be running on an older version of Windows, so I would just like to confirm this first!

If you notice yourself that you are not on the most updated version of Windows, please make sure you update it. After updating, please remove the Ring app again, restart your PC, and then reinstall the app and let me know if you run into the same concern.

did you ever get that resolved? I have the same thing on w10 x64 1709 (cant upgrade to newer versions due to system requirements otherwise)

I’m currently running Windows 10 x64 1709. I’ll try that and see if it works.

Updating Windows 10 to 1909 fixed the issue.

I did do the uninstall Ring app. Updated Windows 10 to 1909. Installed Ring App.

Logged in and two factor worked.

Thank you for everyone’s help.

I am a new user, and just installed a stickup cam and the Win 10 App, and have the same issue. When I enter the 1st digit of the 2 factor code, the app crashes. I am on Win 10 Enterprise, v 1709, OS build 16299.2045. The PC is managed by work, so a new version of Windows may not be supported. Your specs say 1709 and higher are supported. Suggestions?
