App update now asks to reset up doorbell

I have an iPhone 7 running iOS 12.4.1. Updated Ring app to 5.18.3. When I opened it, it was acting like a new install—asking me to log in and scan QR code. WORKAROUND: I stopped, closed app, and tapped one of the on screen notification for activity pre-update. App opened and everything was normal.
