Android App Performance

Android App fails to clear the notifications count on the App’s dashboard page even though I’ve already reviewed the notifications. Any suggestions, or is this a bug that needs to be reported to Amazon somewhere? (Where, how@)

I’m not quite clear on what you mean by “Notification Count on the App’s dashboard.” But if you are referring to the text-type Notifications that are ‘pushed’ to your mobile phone, I also use the Android App and I am not having the issue that you are having.

I also checked the Ring status page just in case there is something going on there, but found nothing :

I’m thinking it is something associated with just your mobile phone, so therefore I would try the following:

  • Close your App, and turn off your mobile smart-phone, and then restart your phone (reboot).

  • Confirm that you are logged onto the Ring App using the “Owners” email/password (not logged in as a “Share User” with a different email/password).

  • If this still doesn’t help, Un-Install and then Re-Install the Ring App. Don’t worry about losing all your previous settings or connection set ups if you have multiple Ring devices, because that data is not stored on your phone (that information is tied to your Ring email “Owner” account). Although, I’ve noticed that sometimes re-installing your App might reset ‘little’ settings back to the default setting, like your Alert Sound choices (App Alert-Tones/Chirp-Tones).
