ring contact sensor wont connect

I have tried resetting the contact sensor per Ring reset your alarm instructions with no luck. I keep getting and error asking me to try again.

I get the message listening for device…but it won’t connect.

I had this issue. I put the sensor right next to base station during reset and setup. It was too far away in my case.

If that doesn’t work might want to contact support. They walked me through a special reset process that fixed it once I moved closer to base station.
