The Ring Alarm Smoke/Co Listener is generally compatible with most smoke/CO alarms that are no more than 10 years old, as most alarms have the same sound that goes off for smoke or CO. You can learn more about our listeners here, and how they work when the alarm is set off. Generally, if you’ve cancelled service with one company, the alarm should still work and make a sound when smoke/CO is detected.
