It is best to mount your Motion Detector about 7 feet high and overlooking a large portion of the room or area you want covered. As there is no visible motion setting off this detector, there may be a heat source nearby. Please ensure there is not any heat sources such as a fireplace, heating vent, or window that might be triggering your Motion Detector. I hope this helps!
