Hey @MayberryNC, I’d be happy to offer some answers here. The Motion Detectors do not have to be in direct line of sight of the Base Station, and we typically recommend for them to be installed about 7 to 8 feet from the floor. I’d also recommend reviewing our Help Center Article on the installation and use of the Motion Detectors here, as it should answer all of your questions in more detail.
