1st Gen Ring Alarm Keypad Install Plate Not Designed for plugging in device

The 1st gen ring alarm was not designed to install the keypad hardwired hiding the usb cable. I had to modify the bracket to get the usb to plug in from behind the bracket hidden in the wall. Why would you design a physical keypad to not be plugged in or have the option designed around those who like to professionally hardwire their keypad in? I’m sure it is too late for this now but the good news is the 2nd gen Keypad was a breeze to install however due to the poor design of no option to keep the mode lights on at all times i had to go backwards to the 1st gen Keypad which I have now found a flaw in with the ridiculous battery charging light which I will put on another post to keep it relevant.
