Hello @linda11 ,

Some electronic devices never recover from getting wet. You should open the sensor, remove the battery, and really let it dry out totally. While Ring “Alarm Flood and Freeze” sensor is engineered to be air-tight, it is not meant to be submerged under water during normal operation. You can aid the drying process by placing it in some rice too.

If after you are completely sure it is totally dry and you replaced the battery, and it still is not functioning correctly, it has a one-year limited warranty (even warrantied past one-year with an Extended Warranty if you have a subscription to the Ring Protect “Plus” plan).

  • Protect Plus Plan - includes an extended warranty which will extend your device’s original warranty. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under Ring Protect Plus until you discontinue your subscription.
