In cases where user has Ring alarm and a paired electronic deadbolt lock, it would be really nice to be able to have a on-off option to be able to auto-lock the deadbolt “n” seconds after the door is closed (as registered by the contact sensor). “n” seconds could be programmable and even better would be a configurable time-range in which this can be enabled.
A relative of mine has a ring alarm and a paired lock, but sometimes forgets to lock the door. This happened a couple weeks ago and some random man just walked into the house at 2am while they were sleeping because the door was unlocked. If it had auto-locked after a certain time or after door close and some amount of elapsed time, that would be really great… and significantly safer than having some random person walk in middle of the night.
