Hey @Dee10. This is to ensure that neighbors are not trying to use the solar panel on our Doorbell devices, which we have solar panels specifically for. If you have the barrel plug solar panel, please note that that is compatible with the Spotlight Cam Battery and the Stick Up Cam 3rd Generation.
